Grinding device for outer surface of molded work
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To make the outer surface of a molded work grindable uniformly without entailing any strain deformation, by pushing an abrasive roller to almost one side and a guide roller to the other side centering on a rotary shaft, of the molded work on a cradle rotating one axis. CONSTITUTION:First of all, a molded work A of a wheel cover or the like is set to a cradle 17 and driven for rotation by a motor M, then an air cylinder 10 is set in motion, making rings 22 and 23 go down along a guide bar 11, and an abrasive roller 13 attached to a base plate 12 is pushed to one side of a horizontal plane part a1 of the molded work A while a guide roller 20 pivotally supported on a support frame 19 of the abrasive roller 13 to the other side respectively being pushed uniformly, thus the work A is ground. And, when grinding for the horizontal part a1 is over, the base plate 13 is tilted to some extent with extension in a cylinder 26, and an inclined part of the molded work A is ground in an oblique attitude of both the abrasive roller 13 and the guide roller 20. Thus, no strain deformation is produced on the molded work and, what is more, an outer surface of the molded work can be uniformly ground and highly efficient grinding operation is performable.
