Plate magnetic recording body and detection of signal inputting condition
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To detect non-destructively a signal inputting condition with high accuracy by laminating an optically coherent thin film having a specific thickness on a magnetic material to form a magnetic recording medium, inputting a signal to the recording medium, irradiating polarized light to the magnetic surface and measuring the reflected light. CONSTITUTION:A mganetic layer is formed on a base body and an optically coherent thin film having 100-5,000Angstrom thickness is laminated thereon, by which a magnetic recording medium is obtd. The optically coherent thin film refers to a thin film consisting of silicon monoxide, silicon dioxide, etc. A laser beam is polarized as the beam passes through the optical system shown in the figure and irradiates the sample 7 of the recording medium on a sample base 6 in the diagonal direction. The polarized light irradiated thereto is reflected by the sample and advances by generating the optical rotation different with each other in the part having a magnetic signal and in the part having no magnetic signal. The light is photoelectrically converted by a photocell 13 via an objective lens 8, etc. and is read by a signal processing circuit 15.
