Automatic transacting system

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To execute a transaction such as payment, etc., even except the time when a financial agency is opened, and to improve a customer's convenience by executing a payment processing by an off-line automatic transacting device in accordance with the contents of an off-line ledger of an IC card. CONSTITUTION:An IC card 2 is provided with a magnetic stripe part 11 and an IC chip 12, and a password number, an account number, etc. are recorded in the circuit 11. Also, the chip 12 is constituted of a CPU13 used for a control, an ROM14 in which a control program and an off-line ledger are stored, an RAM15 for storing a data, and a connecting part 16. As for this ROM14, its contents can be changed in accordance with necessity, and the stored contents of the off-line ledger can be updated by a control of the device 13. By executing a payment processing by an off-line automatic transacting device in accordance with the contents of the off-line ledger of such a card 2, a payment transaction can be executed in other time than business hours of a financial agency, and a customer's convenience can be improved.
