Thermal head pressing method in thermal transfer recording method

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To enable an even pressing of the thermal head length-wise by bending the end rim of the thermal head length-wise opposite to the side of holding it to form a bent part so that it will press the platen roller. CONSTITUTION:A bracket 26 holds the thermal head 25 from the back thereof and a bent part 263 is formed by bending the end rim along the length of the thermal head opposite to the thermal bracket held with the bracket 26. As the top of the equipment is closed gradually from the open state, the thermal head 25 comes in contact with the top circumferential surface while the contact section 264 of the bracket 26 abbuts on the contact member 200. Then, the thermal head 25 is pressed on a platen roller 20 by an elastic force of a spring 265. This allows the thermal head 25 to be pressed evenly on the platen roller 20 along the length thereof.
