Facsimile transmission system

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a reproduced document excellent in print quality at reception side by reading a character code from a document floppy formed by a word processor, and converting the result into a facsimile signal and transmitting it. CONSTITUTION:The document floppy formed by the word processor is set to a floppy disc device 9; the operation section provided to an operation display section 10 is operated, a document title stored in the document floppy is displayed sequentially on the display section and a document subjected to be telephotography is selected from the titles. The device 9 transmits a character code string of the selected document to a character generator CG11. The CG11 generates a character data string corresponding to each character code and stores it to a memory section 12. A control section 13 converts a character data string stored in a memory section 12 into a facsimile signal, then it is compressed at a band compression section 2 and fed to a transmission control section 3, and the result is transmitted to an opposite facsimile device via an MODEM section 4, a network control section 5 and a telephone line 6.
