Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To improve the life of a main body of a sprinkler remarkably by interposing a ball bearing having a special shape between an external peripheral surface of a shaft and a cylindrical member fitted into the shaft and pressing the ball bearing in the stage of passing water with a fixed pressure corresponding to the hydraulic pressure by means of a gasket. CONSTITUTION:A ball bearing 6 having a special shape and capable of supporting simultaneously a thrust load and a radial load of a cylindrical member 4 fitted to a shaft 3 is interposed between an external peripheral surface 3a of the shaft 3 provided with a water passage 2 and the cylindrical member 4, and the member 4 is made rotatable by the ejection force of water passing through a communicating passage 7 which communicates the water passage 2 with a nozzle 5 and ejected from the nozzle 5. Hollow grooves 9 are provided above and below the communicating passage 7, which serve to contain the ball bearing 6 and ring gaskets 8 arranging the ball bearing 6 to be disposed to the outside with regard to the passage 7 and preventing the ball bearing from escaping outwards. The hollow grooves 9 are communicated with the water passage 2 through a space 10 provided between the external peripheral surface 3a and an internal peripheral surface 4b of the member 4, and the gasket 8 is pressed by the pressure of water flowing into the hollow grooves 9. The bearing 6 is also pressed in the stage of passing water.
