Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain stability of idling speed without necessity of detecting variation of loads by providing means which serves to detect operative or inoperative condition of loads from fall or rise of engine speed and transmitting or stopping a command to compensate acceleration. CONSTITUTION:When an expected compensation setting circuit 38 detects fall RL of an actual idling speed Nset detected by an engine speed detector 22, engine loads condition is discriminated and an output corresponding to a predetermined expected compensation term T3 is transmitted, and when its rise RH is detected, no engine loads condition is discriminated and the output corresponding to the expected compensation term T3 is stopped. The compensation term T3 is set in relation to actuation of a torque-convertor of an automatic speed changer and an air conditioner, lighting of illuminating lamps and so on, and the compensation term T3 is determined at a value large enough to make the idling speed stable even when these engine loads sum up to be applied.
