Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To provide the titled system capable of French folding printing with the line feed pitch different for left and right pages, wherein printing dot positions in a read line are calculated, a line feed pitch is calculated by a line feed quantity setting part, and is outputted to a printer. CONSTITUTION:Simultaneously with writing into a printing buffer 26, a printing line taking-out part 25 refers to position coordinates stored in a line control table 23, and calculates a dot position for starting printing. Dot position coordinates for each line are stored in a coordinates table 27, a printing line image forming part 28 refers to the table 27, and according to character codes in a line thus retrieved, access is made to a pattern memory, and pattern data are developed in a printing buffer 16. The line feed quantity setting part 29 reads the dot position coordinates from the table 27, calculates a line feed pitch [line feed information (c)], and outputs the pitch to the printer 17.
