Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a high dielectric strength of the titled device by a method wherein a plurality of solar battery elements are molded in a transparent resin and a front side of the mold is covered with a hard transparent plate and a back side is covered with a sheet to form a flat device and its periphery is supported by a metal frame with a plastic insulator provided between the back side periphery and the side of the mold and the metal frame. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of solar battery elements 2 are arranged on a flat surface with a prescribed interval and molded with a transparent resin 3. The front of the elements 2 are covered with a hard transparent plate 1 and the back is covered with a protecting sheet material 4 to form a flat device 5. Then the periphery of the device 5 is tightened by a metal frame 6, composed of a front frame 6A, a side frame 6B and a shelf part 6C corresponding to the back side periphery, with a plastic insulator 7 such as polyvinyl chloride resin and scryl resin. With this constitution, a dielectric strength is improved and a leakage current is reduced.
