Thermal recording material
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To improve frictional fogging while maintaining various performances such as printed density, by incorporating particles of an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer having a specified particle diameter into a thermal recording layer of a thermal recording material in an amount of 5-50wt%. CONSTITUTION:An electron-donative colorless material such as a triarylmethane compound and a diphenylmethane compound and an electron-acceptive compound such as a phenol compound and an organic acid are separately dispersed in a 1-10wt% solution of a water-soluble polymer, the resultant dispersions are mixed with each other, then an inorganic pigment such as caolin and talc is added to the resultant mixture, particles of an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer having an average particle diameter of 0.3-16mum is mixed into the mixture in an amount of 5-50wt% to the total weight of the components of the thermal recording layer, and a heat-fusible compound or the like is added thereto, if required, to obtain a coating liquid. The coating liquid is applied to a raw paper in an amount of 2-10g/m<2> as solids to obtain the thermal recording material.
