Radiation-intensifying screen
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:A radiation-intensifying screen, obtained by forming a fluorescent substance layer consisting of a rare earth oxysulfide fluorescent substance expressed by a specific composition formula on a support, capable of improving the photographic image quality, particularly graininess, and reducing more the afterglow. CONSTITUTION:A radiation-intensifying screen obtained by forming a fluorescent substance layer consisting of a rare earth oxysulfide fluorescent substance expressed by the formula (Ln is La, Gd, Y or Lu; R is Nd or Ho; A is Pr, Er or Yb; x, y and z are as follows; 0.001<=x<=0.02; 0.001<=y<=0.01; 0.0001<=z<=0.01; x>=y+z), preferably 2-15mum grain diameter, <=0.40 standard deviation thereof and 10-100mg/cm<2> coating weight of the fluorescent substance on a support. The above-mentioned radiation-sensitive paper has preferably a light absorption layer between the support and the fluorescent substance layer.
