Bending tool for wire-shaped body
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To improve workability and to bend a wire-shaped body to a semicircular shape with high accuracy by constituting a bending tool of a pair of specific bar-shaped operating members having the same constitution. CONSTITUTION:The operator inserts both ends of a wire-shaped body 4 into guiding holes 17, 22, holds operating parts 10, 11 with both hands and bends said parts until the parts are paralleled. The body 4 is bent to an arc shape within one plane running the axial line of the members 10, 11. The circular edges 12a, 18a at the ends 12, 18 of the members 10, 11 are in contact with each other in this stage. When the members 10, 11 are further displaced in the approaching direction as shown by reference codes 24, 25, the ends 14a, 20a of operating parts 14, 20 are displaced around the end edges 12b, 18b at the ends 12, 18 of the members 10, 11 until the ends 14a, 20a come into contact with each other. The bent arc shape of the body 4 is thus prevented from restoring the original shape and the exact semicircular shape is formed by plastic deformation.
