Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To secure such a ventilation device as being excellent in reliability in spite of its simple construction, by installing three plate materials extending in a horizontal direction in a ceiling part of a fuel tank upon being superposed and thereby forming an opening part in each plate, while installing a passage and a chamber between these plates. CONSTITUTION:When fuel being filled up inside a fuel tank 1 from an oil feeding pipe 5 is in a horizontal level L0, air flows from each of symmetrical open- ing parts 14 and 17 of a lowe plate 11 adjoining inside a ceiling part space S inside the tank 1 by way of each of passages 13 and 16 formed by each of concave parts 12 and 15 of an intermediate plate 21 and the lower plate 11 and each of symmetrical opening parts 22 and 23 of the intermediate plate 21. Then, also it flows in the inside of a chamber 34 formed by each of bulged parts 32 and 33 of the intermediate plate 21 and an upper plate 3, thus air vent ranging from the opening 35 of the upper plate 31 to an outside air interconnecting pipe 4 takes place. On the other hand, when the fuel tank 1, for example, tilts to the right and thereby fuel comes to an inclined level L1, the air vent is positively performed from the opening 17 through a labyrinth comprising the passage 15, the opening 23, the chamber 34 and the opening 35.
