Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To prolong the life of a unit and to take a copy of good quality stably for a long period by partitioning a developer storage space with detachable partitioning materials. CONSTITUTION:The developing device in a casing is provided with a sleeve 2b which supplies toner to a photosensitive body 3 at the lower end. A hopper part is partitioned into, for example, three space parts with partitioning bodies 2c and 2d of flexible materials such as proper cotton to store toner particles T1, T2, and T3. The partitioning materials 2c and 2d are fixed to the internal wall surface of the hopper at one terminal by adhesion or other proper means, and the other-side terminals are formed into bead-shaped lock parts, which are extended at right angle to the paper surface and exposed out of the casing to engage retainer levers 8a and 8b attached detachably from outside of the casing.
