Silver oxide battery manufacturing method

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To stabilize internal resistance by molding granulated silver oxide obtained by reducing the surface in fluidized air to form a pellet, and reducing again the surface of the pellet by reducing substance to form a positive active material of a button type silver oxide battery. CONSTITUTION:Granulated silver oxide powder is reduced by 3-9wt% of the total silver oxide by spraying reducing solution in fluidized air, then molded in a pellet. The surface of the pellet is reduced again by 1wt% or more with reducing substance so that the final reducing amount becomes 4-10wt%. This pellet is used as a positive active material of a button type silver oxide battery. Since the silver surface layer of the pellet broken by molding is covered by silver by rereduction, internal resistance is stabilized and storage life deterioration caused by oxidation of separator is decreased. Therefore, reliability is increased.
