Olefin polymer composition
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain titled composition of high adhesivity and coatability, with excellent processability and rigidity, by incorporating an olefin polymer with OH-contg. organic compound, organic peroxide, and specific inorganic filler followed by heat treatment. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition can be obtained by incorporating (A) 100pts.wt. of an olefin polymer with (B) 0.1-50pts.wt. of an organic compound having in one molecule one or more unsaturated bond and hydroxyl group (e.g., 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate, 3,6-dimethyl-4-octyne-3,6-diol), (C) 0.01-20.0pts.wt. of an organic peroxide (pref. with 1min half life at >=130 deg.C) and (D) 20-90wt%, based on the whole composition, of inorganic filler with a density >=2.0 (pref. >=2.2)g/cm<3> (except glass fiber, graphite, carbon fiber and mica in single use, respectively) followed by heat treatment at such temperatures as to cause the decomposition of the component (C), but below 300 deg.C. The density of the final composition is pref. >=1.2g/cm<3>.
