Air conditioner
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To improve comfortability by a constitution wherein the flow rate of a blower is controlled by comparing the indoor noise with a set back ground noise by means of a microphone arranged within the indoor unit of a room air conditioner or the like. CONSTITUTION:A microphone 1c (not shown in fig) is contained within an indoor unit. The microphone 1c inputs an indoor back ground noise (e) measured during the period of standstill of an indoor blower to a comparator. When the back ground noise, the air flow rate of the blower is set at an intermediate rate M (not shown in fig.) lowered by one rank. On the contrary, when the peak value of measured back ground noise (e) exceeds the set value (f) of back ground noise, the air flow rate of the blower is set at an intermediate rate raised by one rank. Above-mentioned setting of the air flow rate of the blower is repeated during the stop-and-start cycles of operation. When the room temperature (g) exceeds the set value (h), the air flow rate of the blower is set at the intermediate rate raised by one rank regardless of the value of the back ground noise. Thus, the noise is suppressed and consequently the comfortability can be improved.
