Hydraulic controller for automatic speed changer

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To reduce the select shock without using a switch by bringing an overdrive gear unit into overdrive state for short time immediately after selecting a select lever to the advance or retreat position. CONSTITUTION:A select timing valve 200 exchangable between the positions for communicating and interrupting with the oil paths is provided in the oil paths 118,218,220 to be fed with oil pressure for bringing an overdrive gear unit 2 into directly coupled state. The oil paths are communicated when the oil pressure which will start rising upon selection of a select lever to the advance or retreat position exceeds over predetermined level. Consequently, immediately after selection, the overdrive gear unit 2 is brought to overdrive state. Consequently, the select shock can be reduced without using a switch.
