Filling agent for optical division
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To enable speedy division of an antipode of various compounds with improved efficiency by using cellulose benzoate within the specified plymerization range including a residual radical of benzoic acid within the specified wt. percentage as a filler for optical division. CONSTITUTION:Grains of mean radius of 1mum-1mm. of cellulose benzoate of 5-5,000 of figure of averaged polimerization degree including the residual radical of benzoic acid as the benzoic acid are used as a columm filler or a filler allowing cellulose benzoate to be supported by silicagel, polystyren, etc. is used. Or, methods like spinning into hollow threads are adopted for the optical division. By these methods the optical division of the specular reflector compound can be realized speedily and with excellent degree of separation. Especially, the methods are well suited for the optical division of compounds including aromatic ring, however, they are also suited for divisions of allene-group, olefin- group, carbonyl compound and metallic complexes of said groups and compound, etc.
