Cassette type recording and reproducing device

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To simplify the operation of a cassette type recording/reproducing device by delivering an electric signal from a sensor after detecting the types of loaded tape cassettes and controlling the spaces between centers of both reel turntables based the electric signal. CONSTITUTION:A miniature cassette is put into a cassette holder 15 while both reel turntable 28 are kept at the center position P5 of each reel turntable. Thus a cassette type detecting sensor 23 is turned on to drive a drive motor 39. Then a center space control mechanism is actuated, and both slide tables 29 are guided by a pair of guide shafts 32 and 33. Thus these guide shafts are slid toward an arrow Za, and both turntable 28 are shifted to the center position P6. Then the center space is automatically controlled to a small space l4. When a large cassette 1 is put into the holder 15 when the turntables 28 are set at the position P6, the sensors 22 and 23 are turned on. Then the motor 39 is reversed to control automatically the center space to a large space l3. Thus the operation is simplified for a cassette type recording/reproducing device.
