Sheet paper feeder

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To achieve selective feeding of sheet paper by moving a sheet paper containing means selected by an elevatable moving means to the paper discharge side the rotating an endless flexible member forwardly/reversely and facing with the paper containing means. CONSTITUTION:Upon selection of tray of free size by means of a tray selection switch, a motor 15 will rotate reversely to retreat a paper tray 2 while motors 10, 19 are driven to lift/lower the first and second elevating members 12, 20 through a screw rod 7 and a belt 18 and stop upon detection of contact with a selected paper tray 2 through a photoelectric element. Then a paper tray 2 of such size as selected by forward rotation of motor 15 for predetermined time is pushed to the paper discharge side while a motor 19 and a belt 18 will cause lowering of second elevating member 20 by predetermined distance to contact with a paper discharge roll 26. The sheet paper 1 is discharged one by one and fed through carry rolls 35-38 to the paper receiving section 41 of copy machine 40.
