Dielectric coaxial resonator

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain the dielectric resonator where minute adjustment of the resonance frequency is easy by forming an electrode for adjusting frequency to an open end face of a dielectric. CONSTITUTION:The frequency adjusting electrode 10 to adjust the resonance frequency is formed at the open end face 2b of the dielectric 2. The electrode 10 is provided concentrically along the outer circumference of the dielectric 2 and sectioned into blocks 10a, 10a... at each prescribed interval. The sectioning is conducted so that the blocks 10a, 10a... have an area corresponding to the resonance frequency of a prescribed unit to be adjusted. Thus, when the resonance frequency of the dielectric coaxial resonator 1 is lower than a prescribed value and any adjustment is required, the electrode 10 is cut off for one block 10a or several blocks 10a, 10a... together depending on the difference between the resonance at present point of time and the required resonance frequency. Thus, the dielectric coaxial resonator 1 is adjusted to the prescribed resonance frequency.
