Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To avoid application of an extra revolving load when a recording carrier is revolved and also to simplify both operation and constitution, by controlling a means which presses a recording carrier loading part into a rotary drive part for recording carrier in response to the action of a head shift means. CONSTITUTION:A pressure member 62 acts to press forcibly a center hub 2 to a drive shaft 11 and is supported by a shaft 36 and also energized clockwise by a spring 64. A coupling rod 27 is shunted downward when a cassette 3 is put into a store part 50 and a cover 60 is closed. The member 62 is energized by the spring 64, and no contact is obtained between a tip part 62a of the member 62 and the hub 2. Such a condition is detected by a container detecting means. Based on this detection, the rod 27 is held up and therefore the member 26 is turned. Thus the hub 2 is pressed by the part 62a. In a record or reproduction period the member 62 is detached from the hub 2. Thus no load is applied to the shaft 11.
