Pearl agent composition

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:A pearl agent composition for cosmetic having improved luster, uniformity, improved stability, especially not losing pearly luster with change in pH, obtained by blending a higher alcohol and a nonionic surface active agent having >=10 HLB as essential components with a pearl agent composition. CONSTITUTION:(A) 0.5-50wt% higher alcohol such as stearyl alcohol, cholesterol and/or phytosterol based on a pearl agent composition and (B) 0.1-2pts.wt. nonionic surface active agent having >=10 HLB such as polyoxyethylene alkyl ether phosphate, polyoxyethylene hardened castor oil and/or polyoxyethylene sorbitan fatty acid ester, etc. based on 1pt.wt. component A as active ingredients are blended with the pearl agent composition, to give a pearl agent composition having the above-mentioned characteristics. The composition is usable for various types of cosmetic, and pH characteristics of blended raw materials have no influence of the cosmetic in the use of the composition.
