Method for adjusting optical system of printer
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To enable assemblage and adjustment without test printing by adjusting the position of an optical system in accordance with the position between a light emitting element and a photodetector prior to assemblage of a photosensitive drum to a printer. CONSTITUTION:An LED array 8 which is plural light emitting elements for forming an optically written image is provided on the surface of a photosensitive drum 1 mounted freely attachably and detachably to a base body 3 in parallel with the rotating axial line 2 of the drum 1. A COD array 11 consisting of plural photodetecting elements is held to the part where the array faces the light emitting element 8 in the state of detaching the drum 1 from the body 3 in such a way that the surface thereof is made flush with the surface of the drum 1. The ray irradiated from the element 8 is detected with the photodetector 11 and the position of an optical system 4 is adjusted in accordance with the detected value.
