Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To change a posture easily and to attain quick measurement by forming a contact fitted freely turnably to the body of a probe so that the end of the contact which is abutted to a substance to be measured is always positioned on a turning axial line and its direction is changed. CONSTITUTION:When a touch signal probe 6 is abutted to the substance W to be masured by the movement of the probe 6 in the three-dimensional direction, the moving extent of the probe 6, i.e. the moving extent of a slider 5 in the X axis direction, the moving extent of a beam 4 in the Y axis direction and the moving extent of a probe axis 7 in the Z axis direction are read out from respective position detectors on the basis of a touch signal outputted at the touch of the probe 6 and electrically processed to display the read-out results in a display device 8 digitally.
