Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To protect passengers from cool air jet by controlling a jet port opening and closing mechanism when detected cooling water temperature is lower than a predetermined value, jetting air only from the jet port for a defroster and setting a jet air amount to a predetermined low air amount. CONSTITUTION:When an air conditioner is set to AUTO mode and started, respective output signals of an atmospheric temperature sensor (not shown) cooling water temperature sensor 31, foot duct sensor 34 and differential duct sensor 35 are taken into a controller 27. And when the atmospheric temperature is lower than a predetermined value, heating control is started. First, cooling water temperature Tw is compared with operation set temperature Tw1. When Tw< Tw1, a predetermined LO voltage is applied to a blower motor 4 through an amplifier 28 to rotate a fan with low speed. Also simultaneously operation mode is set to DEF mode and an air mix door 8 is fully closed so that the whole air passing by a heater core is jetted from a defroster jet port 13 through a differential door 11 fully opened.
