liquid fuel combustion equipment
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To enable to perform combustion in a stable condition for a long time, by a method wherein cerium oxide and a metal belonging to a platinum group are carried, in order, to the surface of a liquid fuel sucking material. CONSTITUTION:A liquid fuel sucking material 5 is, for example, a heat-resisting porous material, having a capillary phenomenon, or a heat-resisting fiber material. After cerium oxide is carried on the surface thereof, a platinum group element, i.e., a metal belonging to an eighth group in a periodic table is carried. A platinum group catalyst is a catalyst which performs the sufficient function of cerium oxide acting as a catalyst oxide, and is widely dispersed in cerium oxide, and this produces high catalystic activity. This produces an effect of suppressing production of tar, enables safe combustion of liquid fuel as in gas fuel, and permits combustion of liquid fuel for a long time.
