Roller fixing device

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To maintain the uniform rate of oil application for long time by holding a member for applying the oil which consists of plural layers impregnated with an offset-preventive liquid and is impregnated with the offset-preventive liquid of the higher viscosity at a specified temp. in the layers nearer the roller side to a holding frame. CONSTITUTION:A member 9 for applying oil is used by impregnating silicone oil having the viscosity characteristic A or B or C into, for example, the 1st layer 9a and impregnating the silicone oil having the viscosity characteristic B or below, C or below or D or below into the 2nd layer 9b and the 3rd layer 9c. The use of such member 9 results in that the oil of the high viscosity held by the 1st layer 9a is mainly applied to the roller 2 for the beginning when the member 9 is exchanged. When the oil of the low viscosity retained by the 2nd layer 9b and succeeding layers makes up easily the decreased component of the layer 9a and therefore the oil of the gradually lower viscosities is applied to the roller 2. The oil is thus uniformly applied to the roller 2 for long time.
