Automatic retraction mechanism for printing head
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To simply attach a printing paper to a printer by a method in which a carriage is moved in a rocking manner around a fixed shaft by the eccentric rotation of a rotary shaft in such a way as to enable the separating distance between a printing head, a platen, and a printing paper to be properly adjusted. CONSTITUTION:A shaft stopper 10 is fixed through an eccentric bush 9 of the same eccentricity as an eccentric bush 5 in the same direction to one end of a rotary shaft 3. Both the eccentric bushes 5 and 9 do the same action, and the rotation of a drive motor 7 is positioned even on a shaft stopper 10. When a printing paper 15 is set, the stopper 10 is turned toward the direction of retracting a printing head 13 from the platen 14 by the drive motor 7 and comes into contact with a stopper brakcet 11 for stoppage. Since the interval between the tip of the head 13 and the platen 14 is sufficiently increased in this case, the setting of printing paper 15 can be very simply made.
