Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To record and reproduce a signal without setting nor removing a magnetic disk on a motor, and to increase the density of recording and to reduce the size and weight of the recording and reproducing device by incorporating devices necessary for the recording and reproducing device in a small-sized jacket. CONSTITUTION:The jacket contains a magnetic disk 3 and its driving motor, a magnetic head 4, a substrate provided with a signal processing circuit, motor driving circuits, etc. necessary for recording and reproduction, a connector 6 necessary for signal processing, etc. Then, when a head switching circuit 12 is placed in recording mode through a signal line 14, the circuit is indicated through signal lines for heat program search 16, head inward feed 17, and heat outward feed 18 to select a necessary track position. The head 4 has multitrack structure corresponding to the total number of tracks and is coupled with the circuit 12. A recording signal is supplied through an amplifer 10 and the circuit 12 from a line 13 and recorded on the disk 3. A playback signal is led out through the disk 3, head 4, and circuit 12 during reproduction.
