Air-fuel ratio controlling apparatus for internal-combustion engine
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To improve the performance of an engine and to prevent misfiring of the same, by providing a means for controlling the speed of feedback control which lowers the speed of integral control of an air-fuel ratio feedback control means when the engine is in the state of deceleration. CONSTITUTION:An air-fuel ratio signal generating means produces an air-fuel ratio signal by detecting the concentration of a particular component contained in the exhaust gas of an internal-combustion engine. An air-fuel ratio feedback control means feedback controls the air-fuel ratio by integral control to converge the air-fuel ratio to a predetermined value. A means for detecting decelerating operation of the engine detects decelerating operation of the engine. At the time of decelerating operation of the engine, a means for controlling the speed of feedback control operates to lower the speed of integral control of the air-fuel ratio feedback control means. By thus decreasing the overshoot of the air-fuel ratio toward the lean side just after finishing of decelerating operation of the engine, it is enabled to improve the performance of the engine and to prevent misfiring of the same.
