Side support of seat for automobile

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To enhance a holding force of a seat and a boarding and alighting ability of a vehicle, by coupling a lock control means to a lock means for locking a support frame at its raised and lowered positions. CONSTITUTION:A side support 15 on the door side is elevatable in the vertical direction with respect to a seat cushion 2. A support frame 16 is supported at its both ends to a holding fixtures 20 on a cushion frame 6, and is urged upward by a spring 21. A lock arm 3 having a locking piece 22 is pivotally attached to a bracket 24 on the support frame 16, and is engged in lock grooves 27, 28 in a lock plate 26. A lock control button 29 is attached to the top end of the lock arm 23, and a spring 30 is disposed between the lock arm 23 and the bracket 24. The elevation of the support frame 16 may be made by a cam member.
