Signal recorder
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To record a tape pattern equal to that of a two-head type VTR and at the same time to attain miniaturization of a rotor by setting the number of recording heads attached to the rotor at >=4 even numbers. CONSTITUTION:Six heads are attached to a rotor 1 with equal angular intervals, and heads HA and HB have gaps of azimuth angles theta and -theta respectively. Each head has the track width equal to a track pitch, and different azimuth angles are set between adjacent heads respectively. A magnetic tape 2 touches the rotor 1 within a range of angles alpha and beta respectively for overlap recording with 300 deg. effective winding angle. The rotor 1 is revolved by F(n-1)/n number of revolutions per second (n: number of heads). The video signal is supplied selectively to either one of heads. When a head HA1, for example, is set near a guide pole 3, the video head is supplied only to this head continuously until the head HA1 comes close to a guide pole 4. In this case, the supply of the signal is started to a head HB1.
