Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To reduce the leakage flux of a magnetic head and to improve the reproducing characteristic by forming a conductive layer at, at least, either one of the inside of a winding window and gap. CONSTITUTION:Conductive layers 5 are formed at the inside of a winding window 3 and a gap 4 by sputtering or the like. The conductive layer 5 is formed with a highly conductive metal, such as copper, silver, etc. Therefore, most of a leakage flux passing through the winding window 3 and gap 4 interlinks with a reproducing coil due to the eddy current reaction of the conductive layer 5 formed in these sections. As a result, the leakage flux is reduced and the reproducing output, especially, the output at high frequencies of this magnetic head is improved. Even when the conductive layer 5 is formed at either one of the gap 4 and winding window 3, the same effect can be expected.
