Optical fiber contained sensor sheet

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To enable the mass production of a plane sensor having a wide area, by holding an optical fiber between a plurality of sheets so that the tangential line on the axis of the optical fiber has all directions of 360 deg.. CONSTITUTION:An optical fiber is adhered to a sheet 1 made of plastics in a U-turn from as a coated optical fiber 2 wherein the optical fiber is preliminarily coated with nylon so as to integrate the plastic of the sheet 1 with nylon of the optical fiber 2. When the optical fiber is adhered, it may be directly adhered to the sheet or may be inserted in the interior in a sandwich from by sheets 1. The optical fiber 2 may be almost equally arranged to the sheet in a cirular, oval or linear form or a combination thereof other than the U-turn form.
