Method of controlling air-fuel ratio of engine
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To make the operation of an engine smooth at the time of transient operation of the same, by calculating a correction factor for the quantity of fuel to be supplied from the density of vaporized fuel existing in the region from the deownstream side of a throttle valve to the engine. CONSTITUTION:A sensor 2 for detecting the temperature of intake air and an injector 3 are provided at an upstream side of an intake system of an engine 1. The sensor 2 detects the temperature of intake air and produces a signal corresponding to the detected temperature of intake air, while the injector 3 supplies fuel to the engine 1. On the downstream side of the injector 3, there are provided a throttle valve 6 which controls the quantity of air drawn into an intake pssage 5 defined by an intake pipe 4, a pressure sensor 8 which detects the absolute pressure of intake air in the intake passage 5 at the portion thereof located on the downstream side of the throttle valve 6 and produces a signal corresponding to the detected pressure, and a sensor 9 which detects the temperature of liquid film fuel attached to the inner wall surface of the intake pipe 4 in the region from the downstream side of the valve 6 to the engine 1 and produces a signal corresponding to the detectig temperature.
