Photocoupler
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To make a connection for demultiplexing and multiplexing, etc., easily by inserting plural optical fibers into insertion holes at both ends of the photocouplers at a time, and fitting an optical circuit block where a desired optical waveguide is formed in the fitting hole in the center. CONSTITUTION:The optical circuit block fitting hole 4 is formed in the center of the photocoupler body 3 and optical fiber insertion holes 5 are formed at both end parts. Plural optical fibers 8 are arranged laterally and inserted into an insertion hole 5 at a time through a connector 7 and the optical circuit block 7 where the desired optical waveguide is formed is fitted in the fitting hole 4 to attain optical coupling. A block 6 in a figure demultiplexes In2 into Out2 and Out3 and multiplexes and outputs In4 and In5. Consequently, said block 6 where the desired optical waveguide is formed is only fitted in the hole 4 to make a connection for demultiplexing, multiplexing, attenuation, etc., easily.
