Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To make a walk sensor substantially free from the effect of noise and thereby to enable the accurate detection of walking, by setting the walk sensor in either one of right and left shoes in a pair so as to detect a walk only from the movement of one foot. CONSTITUTION:A walk sensor is set in either one of shoes in a pair, e.g. in the one on the left foot side. It is incorporated in an insole 11 fitted in a shoe 11 and is connected to the main body 2 through a lead wire 3, while the main body 2 is fitted removably to a part of the shoestring 12 of the shoe 10 through the intermediary of a fitting block 4. The sensor is constructed of a pair elastic contact electrodes, one of which is formed to be a flat plate and the other to have a cured surface. The two electrodes, which are separated ordinarily from each other, are made to be in contact and continuity with each other under a load, so as to detect a change in the load caused by the shift of the weight of a wearer's body. Such a constitution makes it easier to detect a walk than a constitution wherein the movements of both feet are detected, and is substantially free from the effect of noise.
