Solid-state image pickup device for electronic still camera
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To attain inexpensive and miniaturized device by providing a horizontal write CCD writing again the own output signal to a free part after the said signal is read to an image sensor so as to eliminate the need for an external memory to store a field data to be read later when a frame output is obtained by one exposure. CONSTITUTION:Data for two lines' share (fields A and B) are read at first from a vertical CCD4, the data of the field A is transferred to a horizontal read CCD32A and the data of the field B is transferred to a horizontal read CCD32B. The data of the field A is read externally via a preamplifier 33A at first among signal components read to the horizontal read CCD32A, 32B and the data in the field B is written again in the image sensor via a preamplifier 33B and a buffer amplifier 35, that is, the data is written in the horizontal write CCD34. The data of the field B written in the horizontal write CCD34 is transferred sequentially to the horizontal read CCD32A via the vertical CCD4, and after all data of the field A are read, they are read from the horizontal read CCD32A.
