Steering apparatus for outboard motor
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent the transmission of vibration to a steering wheel by dividing a steering bracket into a pivot member installed onto a swivel shaft and a steering-wheel installation member and interposing a vibrationproof member between the both members. CONSTITUTION:A steering bracket 13 is formed dividedly into a pivot member 29 and a steering-wheel installation member 30 installed onto the pivot member 29. The both members 29 and 30 are installed as follows. A cylindrical vibrationproof rubber 32 is inserted into a bolt insertion hole 31 on the steering-wheel installation member 30. A bolt 33 is inserted into the vibrationproof rubber 32, and the top edge of the bolt 33 is screwed into the pivot member 29. A nut 34 is screwed through a seat metal 35 onto the outer edge of the bolt 33, and the both members 29 and 30 are fastening-fixed. At this time, a ring-shaped rubber 36 formed integrally with or separately from the vibrationproof rubber 32 is installed between the both members 29 and 30 or between the steering-wheel installation member 30 and the seat metal 35.
