Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To collect even ultra-fine particles and to reduce power loss, in an electrostatic dust collector, by providing a filter body consisting of a dielectric block having a large number of piercing apertures and an electrode generating an electrostatic field in said piercing apertures while flocking charging flocks in each piercing aperture. CONSTITUTION:A filter body 4 for flowing air is provided in an exterior frame to collect dirty particles. Herein, the filter body 4 is constituted of a dielectric block 42 having a large number of piercing apertures 41, electrodes 43, 44 respectively formed to the opposed both surfaces of said dielectric block and charging flocks 45 flocked in the above mentioned piercing apertures. One of electrodes is connected as an anode and the other one as a cathode. Dirty particles entering piercing apertures are collected by the electrostatic fields in the piercing apertures and the collection efficiency thereof is enhanced by concentrating static electricity by charging flocks.
