Sheet sorting unit
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To facilitate sorting and to conduct arranging in order and binding work with good efficiency by inclining the paper carry-in side ends of storing trays stacked in plural stages at a certain angle to make difference in level on each tray at the time of taking out the sheets at one time. CONSTITUTION:A sheet 2 transport means 6 includes a transport belt 9 rotated by a friction roll 8 brought into contact with a sheet discharge roll 7 of a copying machine 1, and a pressure roll 10 brought into pressure contact with the belt 9, wherein a sheet 4 is fed into a storing tray 5 by the belt 9 and the roll 10, and the end portion of the sheet discharge port 3 of the tray 5 is engaged with a guide groove 11 inclined at an angle of theta through a pin 12 in such a manner as to freely move up and down. The trays 5 are stacked vertically in plural stages, and the trailing ends thereof are supported on the upper end of a support bracket 13. The ends of the trays 5 on pin 12 side are lifted up along the groove 11 by the transport means 6 by an elevating mechanism every time a sheet 4 is stored by the transport means 6. The thus simultaneously taken out sheets have difference in level, which can facilitate sorting.
