Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To apply editing again by providing a pattern input section reading a pattern data in the range fitted with a mark and preparing in advance weighted information corresponding to shrinking and magnification of the pattern so as to insert the pattern shrinked or magnified in matching with the lateral width of an input designation frame with the priority over sentence input, thereby shifting forward/backward the sentence when duplication or space is produced. CONSTITUTION:The desired pattern data read and cut by a pattern input section 4 is converted directly at a shrinking and magnification conversion processing section 5 in response to the shrinked or magnified rate inputted in advance (ratio of pattern width described on a document or an input designation frame width secured in advance to a pattern width to be cut from other sheet), and the converted data is stored in a pattern data memory 6. The operator moves the desired pattern displayed on a display device 11 to the desired position of the document. That is, the document 1 in Fig. I is obtained. Then a character is inputted from a character input keyboard 7, and the inputted character is stored in a document data memory 9 via a document forming processing section 8.
