Disazo dye and thermal transfer sheet for thermal transfer recording

Abstract

Abstract NEW MATERIAL:A compound of formula I , wherein each of X<1>-X<3> is H, alkyl, alkoxy, OH, nitro, cyano, acylamino, alkoxycarbonyl, alkylsulfonyl, sulfamoyl or halogen, each of Y<1>-Y<6> is H, alkyl, alkoxy, halogen or OH, wherein Y<1> and Y<2> or Y<4> and Y<5> may be combined together to form an aromatic ring. EXAMPLE:A compound of formula II. USE:A dye for thermal transfer recording. PREPARATION:An aniline of formula III is diazotized and coupled with a compound of formula IV to obtain a monoazo compound of formula V. This compound is again diazotized and coupled with a compound of formula VI.
