Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To improve machining efficiency with no necessity of reversing of a work by providing a front side machining spindle and a rear side machining spindle for rapid machining of the work on the front and rear sides. CONSTITUTION:There is provided a rear side machining spindle 9 adapted for vertical movement and circumferentially swinging movement. While a front side machining spindle 8 is operated to machine the front side of a work W1, the rear side spindle 9 is put at its waiting position. This positively prevens interference between the spindle 9 and a turret 6. Cutting off for the work W machined on the front side and then rear side machining, without reversing the work W after the cutting off, can be easily, accurately and rapidly performed.
