Phosphor-bronze for electronic and electrical instrument
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain phosphor-bronze having good mechanical properties without decrease in solder joint strength even after long-term use by making the content of P in the phosphor-bronze lower than the content thereof in the conventional phosphor-bronze and adding Co, Cr, Ti, Zr, Si thereto. CONSTITUTION:This phosphor-bronze for electronic and electrical instrument contains, by weight %, 1-10% Sn and 0.01-0.06% P, is added further with 0.05-2% in total >=1 kind among Co, Cr, Ti, Zr and Si and consists of the balance copper. The phosphor-bronze is used as it is or after plating and the phenomenon in which the strength in the juncture is decreased by diffusion and concn. of P to the solder juncture is prevented. A slight decrease in the strength and a decrease in a stress relieving characteristic with a decrease in the concn. of P are compensated by the above-described third components such as Co, Cr, etc. to the phosphor-bronze, by which the additional improvement in strength is made possible.
