Control of engine
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To reduce the error that is produced at the conversion of angle to time, by finding the rate of rotational speed change on the basis of the relationship between an average rotational speed and a momentary rotational speed near a phase angle and by correcting the time difference between the two speeds. CONSTITUTION:An electronic control device 26 memorizes a momentary rotational speed Nx at a phase angle coresponding to a remaining angle thetah when pulse signal for electrification of an electromagnetic valve is changing from OFF to ON. In the case of a four-cylinder engine, an average rotational speed N between 180 degrees CA of the engine is memorized and a rotational speed reduction rate (y) obtained as the ratio of Nx to N is memorized as a map for the average rotational speed. From these data, it becomes possible to reduce the error that is produced at DELTA conversion of angle to time and precisely control the fuel injection quantity at all time, even under varying rotational speed peculiar to the engine by applying a correction on the basis of the rotational speed reduction rate (y) and converting the remaining angle thetah to time (h).
