Burner for reducing nox
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To form flame in the vicinity of a flame holding member to reduce NOx by forming a resistor in the vicinity of an opening of a fuel injection cylinder as a flame holding member to form a turbulence such as a vortex flow or the like. CONSTITUTION:A starting fuel injection pipe 17 is disposed in an injection cylinder 30 so that the axis of the pipe 17 becomes equal to that of the cylinder 30, and the flame holding member 21 is disposed at the tip end of the pipe 17. The top portion of the flame holding member 21 is bent and formed in a V-shape toward the upstream side 1 of a pulverized coal in a substantially cross-shape in the front view. By this construction, the pulverized coal 1 forms a vortex flow just behind the flame holding member 21, and particularly fine particles are held in the vortex flow and burnt. For this reason, the flame is formed just behind the flame holding member 21, and the entire part of the flame is attracted to the side of the flame holding member 21. When an annular flame holding plate 18 the caliber of which is gradually increased is used, the holding of the flame becomes more effective. By forming the flame in the proximity of the burner, a reducing flame is formed and the N component within the fuel is converted into N2. Generated NOx is subjected to reduction in a gaseous phase, and hence the amount of NOx generated can be decreased. It is preferable to set a reticulate flame holding member and a reticulate flame-smoothening member in the burner.
