Three-dimensional screen device
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To form a screen which varies in depth and to display an image in three dimension by stacking >=2 liquid crystal screens, and switching voltages applied to counter electrodes of the screen bodies successively and synchronously with projection images. CONSTITUTION:A liquid crystal layer 36 which is normally transparent or opaque, but becomes opaque or transparent when applied with a voltage is interposed between a couple of transparent glass substrates 32 and 33 provided with transparent electrode films 34 and 35 to constitute the liquid crystal screen body 31. Plural screen bodies 31 are stacked to constitute the screen which varies in depth by switching voltages applied to counter transparent electrode films 34 and 35 of the respective liquid crystal screen bodies 31a-31e synchronously with projection images. Consequently, no mechanical driving device is required and projection images are displayed sterescopically with the simple constitution.
